VegasNow sports betting in Australia: bets, offers and rules

VegasNow is better known for pokies, yet the same login also gets you into our sportsbook. This page walks through the betting tabs, the three bet types our rules allow, the sports welcome match of up to A$200, the x3 rule on deposits, cash-out and the account checks that can come before a payout. Sport is 18+ only, and best kept within limits set in advance.

Licensing first: what covers the VegasNow sportsbook

There is no separate sportsbook licence. Bets are taken under licence OGL/2024/164/0246 from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, the one our casino uses. The record names Just Entertainment B.V. as holder (company 160603 on the Curaçao register), gives a licensing date of 13 August 2024 and lists the approved domains. Anyone can check it on the public validator.

Two points follow. Deposit limits and self-exclusion live in the one account, so they cover sport and casino alike. And this is not an Australian wagering licence, which matters for BetStop (see the responsible betting section). Our licensing page walks through the record.

Four betting tabs inside VegasNow Sports

Sports

Fixtures that have not started yet, grouped by sport and competition. Filters such as "Top leagues" and "Upcoming" narrow the list.

In-Play

Prices on matches already under way. The tab shows how many events are live, and because prices shift quickly, a slip can be turned down if the odds change before acceptance.

Virtual Sports

Simulated events produced by software, so each result comes from inside the game rather than from a real match.

Esports

Video-game competitions, with title-specific grading rules, for instance what happens to a CS2 map after a dropped connection or a retired team.

Around 40 sports have a settlement section in the Sportsbook Rules. For Australian punters the familiar names include Cricket, Netball, Rugby League, Australian Rules, Tennis, Rugby Union, Golf, Basketball, Darts, Motor Racing, Snooker, Football (Soccer) and combat sports such as Boxing, MMA and UFC. Horse and dog racing sit in a separate racing section. A settlement section is a grading rulebook, not a promise that a given AFL or NRL round will have markets priced.

How VegasNow names its bet types: single, express and system

Our rulebook borrows European names. Here is the translation.

Name in our rulesLocal equivalentPays out when
SingleStraight betThe one selection wins; return = stake × odds
ExpressMulti (or parlay)Every selection on the ticket wins; the odds of each leg are multiplied
SystemCombination betEnough of the smaller multis built from your picks come in; one losing leg need not sink the lot

Two limits apply to multis. Selections from different events within one match, or several bets on one player in one tournament, may not be combined on an express or system ticket; if the platform accepts such a ticket anyway, the stake is refunded. Group betting, where one customer or a set of linked customers places the same outcomes again and again, is not allowed and can trigger a review.

Worked example: A$6 on three picks as singles, express or system

Take three selections: Pick A at 1.70, Pick B at 2.00 and Pick C at 2.25. You have A$6 to spend. The table shows how that A$6 behaves under each structure, with the system laid out as three doubles (A with B, A with C, B with C) at A$2 apiece, a common 2-from-3 layout. Returns include the stake.

StructureStakesAll three winOnly A losesOnly C loses
Three singlesA$2 on each pick4.00 + 4.50 + 3.40 = A$11.904.00 + 4.50 = A$8.503.40 + 4.00 = A$7.40
ExpressA$6 on one ticket6 × 1.70 × 2.00 × 2.25 = A$45.90A$0A$0
System, three doublesA$2 on each pair6.80 + 7.65 + 9.00 = A$23.45B with C only: A$9.00A with B only: A$6.80

The doubles come out as A$2 × 3.40 = A$6.80, A$2 × 3.825 = A$7.65 and A$2 × 4.50 = A$9.00. The single ticket at 7.65 pays most and is the most fragile, since one wrong pick empties it. Singles return least on a clean sweep but still hand something back after a miss. The doubles land in the middle, and here losing the 1.70 pick hurts less than losing the 2.25 pick, because the double that survives is priced higher.

Now suppose Pick B is voided. The rules settle a voided selection at odds of 1, so the express becomes 1.70 × 1 × 2.25 = 3.825, and the A$6 ticket returns A$22.95 if A and C both win. Each sport's settlement rules decide when a void applies, and system layouts vary, so check the slip first.

Sports welcome offer at VegasNow: how the A$200 match scales

On the sports Promotions page, the Sports Welcome Offer reads 100% up to A$200, with a "Deposit and Bet now!" button; the Sports landing page calls it a 100% Free Bet up to A$200. The detail lives in a separate set of offer terms: how the credit arrives, which prices and markets count, and at what point winnings can be withdrawn. Read those before you opt in. Using the headline percentage only:

Qualifying deposit100% match on the headlineNote
A$35A$35Any offer minimum is set in the terms
A$130A$130Matched in full
A$200A$200The top of the match
A$350A$200The extra A$150 earns no match

Keep the two welcome deals apart. Our casino package, as much as A$8,000 plus 500 free spins over four deposits, is restricted to casino and live casino play, and its terms bar casino bonus funds from sports bets. Also on the sports Promotions page is Bet on Sports Weekly: Lucky Score & Spin, a repeat promotion that hands out free spins for sports betting. Its full conditions are not in the overview. The casino side is covered in our casino welcome bonus guide.

VegasNow deposits, the x3 turnover rule and payouts

Rule 2.2 of our Sportsbook Rules asks for every deposit to be turned over three times (x3) unless an offer says otherwise. Bets count only once accepted and settled, whether the result goes your way or not; a cancelled bet, or one whose stake was refunded, adds nothing. If the turnover is short, the sportsbook may refuse the withdrawal, in line with the three-times deposit rule in general terms v2.3.

StepFigure
DepositA$130
Turnover needed3 × A$130 = A$390
36 settled bets at A$8A$288, counts
3 voided bets at A$8A$24, does not count
1 open bet at A$8Counts once it settles
Still to goA$390 less A$288 = A$102, or A$94 after the open bet settles

At A$8 a bet, twelve more settled bets (12 × A$8 = A$96) would cover that last A$94.

Sport and casino share one cashier. Minimum deposits are A$30 for Visa, Mastercard or MiFinity and A$25 for Cashtocode, card deposits can go as high as A$10,000, and USDT, BTC, ETH and the other listed coins each have a minimum of their own. Payouts go to own-name methods: MiFinity handles A$30 to A$4,000 and bank wire A$300 to A$6,000, with crypto limits set coin by coin. You will not find PayID, POLi or Neosurf among the AU deposit options. No withdrawal is processed until the account is fully verified, and the rules allow a phone check: winnings can be confiscated if the number given is wrong or nobody answers. Our payments page and withdrawals guide list each route.

When prices move: cash-out, odds changes and VegasNow stake limits

  • Cash-out. Available on selected markets, letting you settle a bet early. Some two-way markets never offer it, and if cash-out is applied to a market where it should not have been, the bet can be recalculated.
  • Price changes. When the odds shift mid-placement, the slip shows a notice and the bet may be held until you agree. The "Accept odds change" setting removes that pause, so leave it off unless any current price is fine by you.
  • Stake ceilings. They differ by sport, event and market, may move without warning, and personal account limits can be imposed without explanation.
  • Bets after the start. If a pre-match bet is taken once the event has begun, it can be voided and settled at odds of 1.
  • Final once placed. A registered bet cannot be withdrawn by the customer.

Before a payout: identity checks and account rules for VegasNow bettors

Each bet you place signals acceptance of the Sportsbook Rules in their current form. They may be updated without a personal notice, but a bet keeps the terms it was struck under. The sportsbook can run identity, credit and video checks. It allows itself as long as 30 days to verify documents and as long as 180 days to look back over a customer's betting, and it can request source-of-funds evidence such as bank statements.

Several players betting from a single IP address, computer or local network is against the rules, and linked accounts can be blocked and their bets voided. Bet from your own device, and complete verification soon after you open the account.

Keeping sport a pastime: VegasNow limits, BetStop and Gambling Help Online

Knowing a team's form is not the same as knowing the score. Fix a weekly amount for sport before opening the Sports tab, keep every stake inside it, and never lift stakes to recover a loss. The deposit limit and self-exclusion tools in your account cover sports bets too, not only the casino.

BetStop is the National Self-Exclusion Register, and it covers wagering providers that hold an Australian licence. Ours is a Curaçao licence, which means a BetStop registration will not, on its own, block betting with us; turn on VegasNow self-exclusion as well, or ask our team to apply it. For free and confidential support, Gambling Help Online answers on 1800 858 858, about your betting or another person's. Every tool is described on our responsible gambling page.

Six checks before your first VegasNow bet slip

  1. Find our licence entry on the Curaçao validator and confirm vegasnow.com appears among the approved domains.
  2. Open the settlement rules for your sport and see what happens on a void, a retirement or an abandoned match.
  3. Read the sports offer terms before opting in; the casino bonus terms do not cover sport.
  4. Multiply your deposit by three: that is the settled stake total needed before a withdrawal.
  5. Upload verification documents early, since the rules allow up to 30 days for that step.
  6. Set a deposit limit and a weekly sport budget, and decide whether "Accept odds change" stays off.

VegasNow sports betting: questions and answers

Is there a VegasNow sportsbook?

There is. Open Sports in the main menu for four tabs (pre-match, In-Play, Virtual Sports and Esports), with promotions on a separate page and a rulebook of its own. Your casino account, balance and cashier carry straight across.

Which licence covers VegasNow sports betting?

The same Curaçao Gaming Authority licence as the casino, number OGL/2024/164/0246, held in the name of Just Entertainment B.V. It is a Curaçao licence rather than an Australian one, and every account holder has to be 18+.

What is the VegasNow sports welcome offer?

A 100% match up to A$200 (the landing page words it as a free bet up to A$200), under separate terms. Headline maths: an A$130 deposit is matched with A$130, and past A$200 the match stops growing.

Can casino bonus money be used on sport?

No. Our casino welcome package is limited to casino and live casino play, and its terms exclude sports bets. Sport has its own offer, with its own conditions.

Are AFL and NRL markets available?

Australian Rules and Rugby League each have a settlement section in our rules, so both are covered by the rulebook. Whether a particular round has markets open is a day-to-day matter the rules cannot confirm.

What is an express bet?

Our word for a multi. Each leg on the ticket must win, and their odds multiply; in the example above, 1.70 × 2.00 × 2.25 makes 7.65.

What happens to an express if one leg is voided?

The voided leg is graded at odds of 1, so it falls out of the calculation. Void the 2.00 pick in our example and 7.65 becomes 3.825: an A$6 ticket then returns A$22.95 if the remaining two win.

Can I cash out a VegasNow bet?

On selected markets. Some two-way markets do not offer it, and a cash-out applied in error can be recalculated. A bet you have placed cannot be cancelled from your side.

How long can VegasNow sportsbook checks take?

The rules allow as long as 30 days for document checks and as long as 180 days to review betting. Withdrawals wait until the account is fully verified, so get documents in early.

How do I self-exclude from VegasNow sports betting?

Switch on self-exclusion in your VegasNow account, or have our support team set it for you. BetStop alone does not cover a Curaçao-licensed operator. Gambling Help Online offers confidential support on 1800 858 858.
